My So-Called Love Life

This site -- my anthology -- is the story of a man, a young man, trying to find his way to love. Experiencing everything in between and serving you his heart on a silver-freaking-platter to the naked eye, for the whole world to see; relate, indulge, delve, and hopefully learn from his mistakes. "A Message To The Masses"

We're building a culture in a society that can resist genocide. It is a culture of total resistance to mind-controlling maniacs. A culture of high-energy systems ridding of hippy acid-smiles and communism, waiting to be cleansed of people we can be.......
It's a culture that can take care of its people.

I'm just tired of this bullshit and I'm tired of people telling us we need to hide behind weapons. They're only plaguing the situation. They're not really doing anything for us, they're just trying to silence us. They think they're actually doing something.

This is the thing that people refuse to understand...
We seem to say that War is part of Human Nature.. We don't NEED to accept war. PEACE is REALITY, just as much as War is Reality. But for some reason, people are more scared of living with one another in harmony and looking out for each other than trying to kill one another. When both are just as equally attainable.

And what would you rather have...
Sitting there, looking at your brother; squared at eye-to-eye with a gun to his fucking hand...
Or would you rather look your brother straight in the eye and fucking shake hands and understand?
Peace is Reality.
and the only way that we're only going to be able to acheive this and let go of this bullshit idea that war is just part of human evolution and is completely discapable, is to let go. We need to LET go in order to be able to regain control.

And the Government...
They're the hardest group to infiltrate....
That's because the culture and the idea one can live by, can only be lived in total resistence to imperial disaster.

You're half right. War on a mass scale isn't human nature. It is the result of one person or a small group of people in power that use their influence to manipulate the masses into seeing their point of view enough to fight for it (in some cases, forced to fight for it whether they still agree with the point of view or not).

However, conflict on a personal scale *is* part of the human equation. The reason for that is no two people can see eye-to-eye on everything. It's the "I'm right, you're wrong and I'm willing to fight you to prove it." syndrome. Do we need to accept war? No, of course not. But peace isn't as much of a reality as you might think. It boils down to power and control. Those people in power do not and will not give up the control they have. Certainly not without a fight. At best, humanity as a whole can only ever achieve an unsteady "peace" (more accurately, an unsteady "cease fire"). What would change that? One sole governmental body for the entire world, and even then, it's questionable. After all, that's the point behind the UN.

I can't remember where I heard this, but I like it: "The opposite of war isn't peace; it's creation." Ahhhhh, I love that. I think that it's only in "human nature" to fight for your "correctness" because that's how society has forced us all to be. There are people out there willing to concede they COULD be wrong, listen to others' ideas/opinions/beliefs, and either agree or say, "I respect your beliefs as valid, but I simply disagree." If both persons involved in that type of debate are of that same mind, then there IS no fighting for who is "right" and who is "wrong". You both accept that you both have the possibility of being right OR wrong.

War could serve purposes when it comes down to truly defending yourself rather than that whole "the best defense is a good offense" bullshit. Sometimes I feel like our country is that bully that gets thwacked in the back of the head, spins around, and beats up every god-damned kid on the playground 'cause he's just not sure who's really to blame. Also, he takes their lunch money just to be on the safe side. "No one will do THAT again," he quips, not at all aware of the principal with the VERY LARGE PADDLE standing right behind him.

you know, you have a point. the government in the U.S. are that bully. in terms of war, they thwack others with their weaponry and demands... and the lunch money, well that's obvious. they take our money too, by increasing tax rates and such just so they can rebuild the damage THEY'VE caused.

Bush is fucking up our country whether anyone else believes this or not.
